Frankston Hospital redevelopment: Drop-in information sessions

Drop-in information sessions were held in March 2023, providing the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula community the opportunity to meet the project team, builder and design team delivering the Frankston Hospital redevelopment.

The Frankston and Mornington Peninsula community was invited to information sessions to learn more about the Frankston Hospital redevelopment in March 2023.

About the Frankston Hospital redevelopment

The Frankston Hospital redevelopment will deliver a new 12-storey clinical services tower and main entrance. It will include 130 more beds, new spaces for mental health and oncology services and 15 new operating theatres.

With more families choosing to make Frankston home, the redevelopment will also deliver expanded women’s and children’s services. This includes new maternity, obstetrics and paediatric wards, a women’s clinic and a special care nursery.

Once completed, the redeveloped hospital will have the capacity to treat approximately 35,000 more patient episodes each year - cutting wait times and reducing pressure on other Melbourne hospitals.

Construction is underway, with main works expected to be completed in 2025.
