Early works on the Bendigo Hospital Day Rehabilitation Centre project are nearing completion, bringing the $59.5 million project one step closer.
A builder has been appointed with construction to begin in late November. This means Central Victorians will soon have the world-class facilities they need to support their health, close to home.
The multi-million-dollar project will construct a new hydrotherapy pool. It will also bring together rehabilitation services into one location, including:
- outpatient rehabilitation
- allied health
- dental
- mental health
- renal dialysis
- breast screening
- diabetes education.
This means people recovering from accidents, injuries and medical conditions - such as stroke or heart attacks - can access a team of health professionals in one convenient place. Co-location of services will support a holistic and patient-centred approach to rehabilitation and care.
ADCO Group Pty Limited has been appointed to undertake the main building works.
Construction is set to begin later this month, with the project expected to be complete in mid-2023.
