Construction is now complete on the Ararat Ambulance Branch upgrade

A multi-million-dollar upgrade of the Ararat Ambulance Branch is now complete.

The upgraded ambulance branch means paramedics have the facilities they need to help their community and save lives.

The bigger and better Ararat Ambulance Branch features:

  • a new Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance covered space
  • new medical and delivery stores
  • improved training facilities and amenities for paramedics.

The upgraded branch is supporting Ararat’s first Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance unit. The unit came online in early 2023 and provides the community with paramedics who have a higher clinical skill set and can perform more advanced medical procedures.

Ambulance Victoria Development Program

The Victorian Government has committed around $249 million since 2015 to upgrade and rebuild ambulance branches across the state. The new and upgraded buildings will provide better working conditions for paramedics and ensure lifesaving emergency care is available for all Victorians.

There are several ambulance branches under construction across Victoria:

  • Clyde North
  • Craigieburn
  • Epping
  • Foster
  • Gisborne
  • Inglewood
  • Morwell
  • Oak Park
  • Rochester.
