The sod has been turned on new ambulance branches in Tatura and Broadford today, signalling the start of early works.
When complete, these new state-of-the-art branches will provide modern facilities for paramedics and enable faster emergency care response times for the community.
These new ambulance branches will be purpose-built with four dedicated ambulance response bays, four rest and recline rooms, modern training facilities, a fully-fitted kitchen, medication management, improved security and staff car parking.
Tatura’s first ever ambulance station will be located at Casey Street. The Broadford ambulance branch will provide a new location for paramedics on Hamilton Street, next to the new CFA fire station.
Construction on both sites is targeted for completion mid-2019.
These new ambulance branches are being and delivered as part of the Ambulance Victoria Capital Upgrades Project, which is designed to rebuild and upgrade outdated ambulance stations across the state.
