We’ve released designs for the new Phillip Island Community Hospital, showing the facility’s striking exteriors and internal spaces.
The community hospital has been designed to reflect the area’s natural, coastal surrounds. The colour palette and materials of the façade, reception, and internal treatment areas are also inspired by the beach and native flora.
The project’s community consultative committee helped shape the look and feel of the new facility and engaged with the community on the priorities to inform the designs. Some of the community’s priorities included:
- natural light
- coastal materials
- colours that are 'cleansing and healing like the ocean'.
These features have been incorporated into the new designs.
The community consultative committee includes:
- community members
- Bass Coast Health
- Bass Coast Shire Council
- other key groups.
