Expression of Interest open for Echuca Cancer and Wellness Centre

With planning for the new Echuca Cancer and Wellness Centre underway, Expressions of Interest are now open for principal consultants on the new $6 million facility.

Funded by the Victorian Government, the Expressions of Interest are calling for interested parties including a Principal Consultant (Architect), Building Engineering Services, Quantity Surveyor and Relevant Building Surveyor to register their interest, which will be followed by a Request for Tender.

The new lifesaving facility will provide improved chemotherapy and dialysis services, easier patient access to specialist consultations and a more efficient working environment for medical professionals, all conveniently located under one roof.

Updated chemotherapy bays, more consulting rooms and co-located treatment bays to maximize staffing efficiencies are also part of the planned redesign and upgrade, as well as wellness programs to help improve the health and wellbeing of cancer patients.

'I am delighted to get to the stage of calling for architects to design the new Cancer and Wellness Centre,' says John Quirk, Board President, Echuca Regional Health. 'This is a great day for Echuca and the surrounding community.'

For more information and application requirements, visit the relevant listings below on the Buying for Victoria website (tenders.vic.gov.au):

In order to be shortlisted, respondents must be registered on the Department of Treasury and Finance Construction Supplier Register. Alternatively respondents must demonstrate that they comply with the occupational health and safety management criteria set out in Attachment 1 to Instruction 3.7 of the Ministerial Directions and Instructions for public construction procurement.

Expression of Interest applications close on Friday 31 May 2019.
