About the youth prevention and recovery care program
YPARC facilities provide residential short and medium-term treatment and support for young people aged between 16-25, who are living with, or diagnosed with, mental ill health.
The new facilities will be designed to be welcoming and home-like, with private bedrooms complete with ensuite bathrooms. Communal kitchens, dining and living areas, breakout spaces and an outdoor garden will encourage rest and recovery, and support family visits.
Overall, the projects are expected to create and sustain hundreds of jobs. All projects are forecast to be completed in mid-2024.
