Have your say on the Latrobe Regional Hospital expansion – Stage 3A

We are working together with Latrobe Regional Hospital to finalise the design for the $217 million hospital expansion.

The design objectives focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients and families, including warm and calming spaces that assist the healing process.

We are seeking input from the local community via our online survey on what you would like to see in the new hospital’s family spaces, children’s play area and outdoor spaces, including artwork, plants and interactive activities.

Construction on the hospital expansion will start in 2021 to be completed by 2023.

About the Latrobe Regional Hospital expansion – Stage 3A

The Latrobe Regional Hospital expansion – Stage 3A will help to meet the region's increasing and complex health demands. It is part of our master plan for delivering improved health services throughout the Gippsland region.

Once complete, the expansion will deliver:

• 44 new inpatient beds
• three new operating theatres
• 14 new surgical recovery beds
• six new intensive care unit beds
• additional emergency department bay
• an expanded maternity unit.
