About the virtual engagement room

The room was created to give the community the opportunity to learn about the project during ongoing COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

It includes a 3D tour of the hospital designs, interviews with the builders and the opportunity to contribute to a time capsule that will be placed on the site of the new Footscray Hospital.

Project information is available in multiple languages and a ‘community corner’ shines a spotlight on the community that has helped shape this once in a generation investment for Melbourne’s west.

About the new Footscray Hospital

The new Footscray Hospital will support the increasing demand from Melbourne’s booming western suburbs, ensuring families can get the care they need close to home.

Construction is underway at the site on the corner of Geelong and Ballarat Roads. The new hospital is set to open in 2025.
