Revamped Seymour urgent care centre opens

The newly upgraded Seymour Urgent Care Centre has officially opened. Staff will now be better equipped to provide world-class care to locals – when they need it the most.

The $1.62 million revamp has added more private consulting rooms, and an upgraded ambulance bay. The entrance to the centre has also been redesigned. A brand new reception area with a larger waiting room, and a secure area for staff, has been delivered.

Before the upgrades, the Seymour Urgent Care Centre’s layout confused patients. It was also difficult for staff to navigate. The improved centre will now provide better comfort for patients, and a safer and more effective workspace for staff. This means patients will get the urgent care they need – faster.

Funding regional health infrastructure

The Seymour Urgent Care Centre upgrade was funded through the $350 million Regional Health Infrastructure Fund. The fund is the largest of its kind in Victorian history, and has funded 284 projects in just three years.

It delivers vital upgrades for regional and rural health, and aged care services. This means all Victorians can access the quality care and facilities they need – wherever they live.
