Ambulance branch 26 February 2021

Site secured for the new Clyde North ambulance branch

A site has been secured, and the design and planning of a brand-new ambulance branch for Clyde North families is underway.

The new branch, to be located at 69 Matterhorn Drive in Clyde North will feature:

  • a four-bay garage
  • four rest and recline rooms
  • a fully-fitted kitchen
  • training facilities
  • secure staff car parking spaces.

The new branch will also be home to Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) paramedics. The shared location is beneficial for skills maintenance, scenario training and case debriefing.

Construction of the Clyde North ambulance branch is expected to commence in late 2021.

The Victorian Government has committed $241.7 million since 2015 to the Ambulance Victoria development program. This program aims to upgrade and rebuild ambulance stations to provide better working conditions for paramedics and ensure lifesaving emergency care is available for all Victorians – now and into the future.
