Helping improve the quality and safety of public mental health and alcohol and other drug service facilities, the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Facilities Renewal Fund is now in its fourth year of accepting grant submissions.
Provided to re-model or refurbish existing state-funded facilities, grants can be used for minor construction, to buy equipment including furniture, fittings, or to upgrade essential infrastructure such as plant equipment, systems to reduce power consumption and information and communications technology.
With more than 30,0000 Victorians accessing state-funded alcohol and other drug services, and 70,000 accessing public mental health and community support services every year, these grants will provide greater comfort for patients and enable staff to deliver safer and more efficient care - helping to improve patient outcomes.
Funding these upgrades ensures all Victorians can access the high-quality care and facilities they need and deserve, no matter where they live.

With a cap of two submissions per agency, minor construction, remodelling and refurbishment projects must have a minimum expenditure of $20,000 (excluding GST) and a maximum of $200,000.
