Terang Hospital gets endoscopy upgrade

A funding boost to Terang and Mortlake Health Service will mean more patients will now be able to get the endoscopies they need a lot sooner.

The Victorian Government, through its Regional Health Infrastructure Fund, will provide the service with $271,000 to buy the latest technology in endoscopy and sterilisation equipment. Upgrading this equipment will allow doctors to perform more endoscopies by expanding the hospital’s capacity and improving the reliability of their medical equipment.

In turn, that means better, safer care for patients and the ability to meet increasing demand in the area for surgical services and high quality care.

The $200 million Regional Health Infrastructure Fund is rebuilding and renewing rural and regional hospitals to make sure all Victorians, no matter where they live, can access the very best health care.
