Victorian Heart Hospital wins another global award

Australia’s only specialist heart hospital has earned another international design award.

The Victorian Heart Hospital has been named best health building at the World Architecture Festival 2023.

The project’s architect, Wardle, and design partner, Conrad Gargett, accepted the award. A jury of peers judged the annual global festival of architecture.

The $577 million Victorian Heart Hospital is Australia’s first dedicated cardiac hospital. It integrates world-class cardiac care, research and education – all under one roof.

We delivered the hospital in partnership with Monash Health and Monash University.

The hospital also won a 2023 INDE.Award for best design in the Health and Wellbeing Space in September 2023.

It welcomed its first patients in February 2023.
