Victorian Heart Hospital wins international design award

The Victorian Heart Hospital has won a 2023 INDE.Award for best design in the Health and Wellbeing Space.

The $577 million Victorian Heart Hospital is Australia’s first dedicated cardiac hospital. It integrates world-class cardiac care, research and education – all under one roof.

The INDE.Awards celebrates the best and most creative design work of the year across the Indo Pacific region. The Victorian Heart Hospital was recognised for its wellness-focused design.

“The architecture, interiors, facility and clinical planning consider the impact of the built environment on the health and wellness of users and was guided by clinical and patient voices.

“The design contributes to the wellbeing of all and aids patient recovery through its spatial qualities, amenity and materiality. The design provides spaces clinical in function and non-clinical in environment.”

We delivered the Victorian Heart Hospital in partnership with Monash Health and Monash University. The design was a joint venture between architects Conrad Gargett and Wardle Australia.
