Work begins on student accommodation at Maryborough and District Hospital

Healthcare students and trainees in Victoria’s Goldfields are set to enjoy new accommodation at the Maryborough and District Hospital, with early works now underway.

The $3.6 million project, funded through the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund, will deliver:

• 20 single bedrooms
• communal living, kitchen and dining areas
• landscaped gardens.

The new accommodation complements state-of-the-art training facilities and education programs already available in Maryborough. It will help more undergraduate and postgraduate students kick-start their careers in the healthcare sector.
