Regional Health Infrastructure Fund grants - round 4

More regional Victorians will be able to access world-class health care with submissions now open for round 4 of the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund grant program.

The latest funding round was announced at the opening of the Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative Medical and Regional Health Hub.

Round 4 of the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund was made possible by a $100 million allocation in this year’s Victorian Budget, taking the fund’s total to $350 million. This year’s funding also includes $10 million for eligible public sector residential aged care services.

About the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund

Established in 2016, the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund assists eligible rural and regional public health services, local and small rural health services, public residential aged care services, registered community health services, bush nursing hospitals and centres, women’s health services and Aboriginal community-run health organisations maintain and upgrade their services.

Grants can be used for construction, remodelling and refurbishment projects, technology improvements and the upgrade or replacement of medical and engineering equipment.

Over the past three years, the grants program has funded over 280 projects across regional and rural Victoria, creating more than 430 construction jobs along the way.

How to apply

Round 4 applications for the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund opened on Friday 1 November.

Applications are limited to two submissions per agency and must be lodged through the Smartygrants website:
